Soyuz TMA-13 Spacecraft Lands
Guy Lalibert the the founder of Cirque du Soleil landed in the Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft
on the steppes of Kazakhstan earlier today after completing his 11 day Poetic Social Mission. Returning with Lalibert were International Space Station Expedition 20 Commander Gennady Padalka and Flight Engineer Michael Barratt who have just completed a six-month stay.
Russian recovery teams were on hand within minutes of landing to help the crew exit from the Soyuz vehicle. The crew members have now returned to the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, outside of Moscow, for reunions with their families.
Lalibert will hold a press conference on Tuesday to discuss his mission which was highlighted by his Poetic Social Mission, an event that spanned the globe during a two hour broadcast on Friday, October 9th. The broadcast was Lalibert's opportunity to share information and raise awareness about water-related issues with the world with a message of "water for all, all for water" and was organized through the One Drop Foundation he founded. Participants included Canadian environmentalist David Suzuki, former Vice-President Al Gore and musicians including U2 & Joss Stone among others.
